Any software
used to disrupt the computer operation, gathers sensitive information, or gets
access without owners knowledge and permission to private computer systems is
called Malware. It is the short form for malicious software. It is a general
term for a variety of hostile or intrusive, executable code, scripts, active
content, and other software. The trojans computer viruses, spyware, worms,
horses, scareware, adware, and other malicious programs, are categorized
ad Malware. Spyware or other malware are sometimes found embedded in programs
officially supplied even by legitimate companies. I have tried below to

What is a Malware or Malcode
Malcode or malware is a broader head and it is short form of
Malicious code or Malicious Software. All malwar are Software designed to
destroy data, used to steal sensitive information or even to aggravate the
user. In general every thing like Trojan, Virus, Worm, Spyware malvertising,
crimeware, logic bomb, macro virus, PUP and wares browser comes under this
head.
What is a Trojan
A software used to steal password information and make the
system vulnerable to future entry by destroying programs and data on the user’s
hard disk that appears legitimate, but performs some illicit activity when it
is run. Trojans are similar to virus, but that it does not replicate
themselves. As far it stays in the computer it keep on damaging the computer,
allowing somebody from a remote location to take control of the computer.
Trojans mostly sneak in attached to a free
game or other utility.
What is a Virus
Virus are Software
largely used to infect computers. The dangerous Malcode virus are first is
written and then buried within an existing program. Once the program in which
they are buried is executed, the virus gets activated and attaches copies of
itself to other program in the computer and other computers through a removable
storage or the network. A virus may destroy programs and data right away or
even on a specified date and time. A virus is a self-contained and auto
executing program which automatically keeps on attaching itself to an existing
application until it exists.

Spyware is a software
which sends information about your browser settings and surfing habits to its
source Web site. Often it is installed very quickly in a computer with a free
download from the Web, spyware remains active in the back ground and transmits
information while you surf the internet. A spyware is known by various name
like thiefware, parasite software, junkware or scumware. Some times spyware is
installed by just visiting a Web site. Some times Spyware May Even installing
Identifying Itself in the ever ignored to read license agreement may actually
contain the information that you are installing a spyware even explanation
about what it does.
What is a Scareware
A scareware is a fake or rogue antivirus, and a dishonest attempt to cause a user to purchase antivirus, registry cleaner or some other software to repair computer problems or fix performance. The user receives a warning message from a Web site claiming that the user's computer is currently contaminated or not running properly. A scareware may entice the user to install an antivirus which is phony and will implants real virus or some other malware.
